Final Reflection (I'll miss this class) :(

“The Beauty Room” is a website I made for my friend Belinda Landou because I see her creativity through fashion and makeup. Throughout the website I embedded photos of her clothing, makeup, family, and friends. Within those photos are blog posts that give you a further insight into her life, her friends, and family, her fashion senses, beauty, and her style. When looking at the website I mostly enjoy looking at the home page because of all the stuff going on, on it. It basically highlights everything that is in the blogs.

My favorite part is the slideshow of her pictures right under the title, from that you can tell how different she is. I was least successful at the blogs. I admit that I could’ve went more in depth in each blog and I couldn’t included more content, such as her daily lifestyle, her daily routines, her diet, and her idols. When I spoke to my professor about my original sight he basically told me that the home page is too basic. It was just pictures of her and nothing about what the website is supposed to be about. So after hearing that feedback I made it my mission to do exactly what he asked of and I believe I did it. I believe my project could’ve been better if I used my time more wisely and spent more time on the blogs rather than the content on the blog. I focused more of my time on designing then actually writing. My writing also could’ve been better if I was less distracted. I had so much going on while typing the blogs and the people surrounding me weren’t making it any easier to type. I should’ve went somewhere with little to no distractions so I could’ve produced my best work. Out of all my projects I feel like this was one of the worst. I feel this way because of how poorly my blogs were.

My #BlackGirlMagic blog was really one of my favorite blogs. I don’t think anything I’ve produced in this class could top that. I took my time and really put thought into that blog and I’m really proud of myself. Because it was coming to the end of the semester I found it very hard to keep going. I just wanted summer to start so that’s another reason my website wasn’t as good as it could be. For next semester I’m going to push through all semester until the end of the semester. At the end of website, I learned something knew about my friend Belinda. I learned about her life, how she feels about her friends and family, why she wears the clothes she wears, and why she adores makeup so much.
